


SIKER 2025, the School on Interdisciplinary Knowledge and Engineering Research

SIKER 2025, the School on Interdisciplinary Knowledge and Engineering Research, was held at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kottayam , Kerala from May 26 to 28 in collaboration with the Vaidyaratnam Group.
The event explored the intersection of Ayurveda and modern engineering technologies, focusing on how Artificial intelligence, Computational biology, Manuscriptology, Genomics, and Gut microbiome research can be integrated with Ayurveda to advance public health. The keynote address was delivered by Vaidyaratnam's Executive Director Ashtavaidyan E.T. Krishnan Mooss, with thought-provoking sessions by eminent speakers including Dr. Saket Ram, Dr. Bhavana P., Dr. Bala Pasela, Dr. Ram Manohar, Dr. Abhilash O. V., Mr. Anuroop, Priya Venugopal, Dr. Manu Madhavan, and Dr. L. Karthik. Representing Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda Research Institute, Dr. Sheela Karalam B, Chief Scientist, participated in the panel discussion. Other members from the research and hospital teams of the Vaidyaratnam Group also attended, reflecting the institute’s strong commitment to interdisciplinary technology collaborations and innovation in public health.
